Fore! Here comes Triompher, a theme built for golf courses, country clubs, wedding and events spaces and a whole bunch more. Let’s dive deeper into this theme.
I’ll tell you, these theme developers these days, they’re sort of running out of words to name their themes, so now they’re just making junk up.
I present, Triompher.
Okay, let’s get this out of the way, I see a bunch of mistakes in this theme and they sort of send up some red flags for me. I do love the images they selected for this theme, really good eye for design. Here’s the front page.
The typography is good too, in my opinion, the spelling, not so much.
Book a tea time? I mean come on, I know a lot of theme designers aren’t native English speakers and I have no idea where Kite Themes is from, but that’s just bad. You’re building a golf theme, learn to spell ‘tee’. It’s those types of little things that matter. If they screwed that up, how many bugs are there in the code? Did they make sure to optimize everything and get the theme working properly with all plugins and whatnot? My guess, no, they didn’t. Okay, rant over. Sort of.
I do love that typography. Nice font selection. Credit where it’s due.
Okay, that’s that. Let’s have a look at what the theme-maker Kute Themes has to say about this template.
Modern Triompher is a perfect option for tennis clubs (as well as other sports), personal trainer’s page, sports centers, tennis / sport review magazine, and sports store. This theme has an extremely multi-functional design and is highly versatile. It is fully responsive, Retina ready and cross browser compatible.
Triompher is built WooCommerce ready, if you seek to build an online store of golf clothing and equipments. The theme is based on the powerful framework which will allow you to start a really functional sport related website. Also, the theme is integrated with the powerful booking functionality for taking bookings online, and it has compatibility with Timeline plugin, Visual Composer, Revolution Slider and many others.
Well, that’s a nice rundown. Let’s consult the tape, the Pingdom rating.
Oh no, an E for effort. A rare grade, I’ve rarely seen one that low. And 210 requests is far, far too many. I get it, it’s not a stripped down minimalist design and maybe you don’t need as much information on one page as is in the demo, but Triompher is going to take a ton of work to get decent SEO results. If you’re a golf course, maybe that’s not so important? Lots of clicks through Yelp, people who know who you are, where you are and really want to find you. Those types of businesses don’t need to rely on massive amounts of web traffic, I get that.
I’d worry about the wedding events rental aspect. There’s a lot of competition in wedding locations. If that’s a big part of your business, it may not be a great fit for you.
It seems I may have misjudged this theme, sort of poo-pooing it’s page load times. It’s been quite popular since it’s initial release in November of 2017, with 150+ downloads and perfect rating on 3 ratings overall. Maybe solid, if you need a gold course theme. This is anything but a three putt.
